Illusion Downunder:

The owner of Illusion Downunder loves his boats and his time on the water. He enjoys the thrill of racing his speedboats and also enjoys the magic of Lake Eildon on his houseboat holiday home.

Illusion Downunder is a very much loved houseboat as you will see when you look at the photos. She is beautifully presented and in excellent condition. You can walk onboard unpack your bags, relax, and start enjoying yourself.

Illusion Downunder was originally built in 1990 and underwent a major refurbishment in 2011. A third pontoon was added at this time. As a result of the refurbishment, she has the modern open layout with side kitchen, internal stairs and rear lounge opening onto the rear deck with a hydraulic duckboard.

The upstairs area provides a great relaxation and entertainment space with kitchenette under the hardtop. Plus, importantly a space to sit back and enjoy the sunshine and maybe sip on some bubbles as the sun’s rays dance on the ripples on the water at sunset.

The maintenance has been kept to a high standard and this includes slipping with the pontoons and motor leg serviced in 2022. A new GMW CHIR was issued at this time. The exterior has been painted and all the decks are in excellent condition including the top deck.

Illusion Downunder has some important pluses. Firstly, the original motor was replaced with a modern Mercruiser 4.3lt MPI V6 motor. The Solar Electrics are very good with a Victron Energy Phoenix Multi Plus Inverter/Charger System; a Morningstar Solar Charge Controller and 6 x 1800watt Solar Panels. These are backed up by a Yanmar Generator.

Illusion Downunder has an Ultra Grey Water Treatment System which has been disconnected but could be reconnected. Illusion Downunder has an Energy safe Victoria Gas Compliance Plate.

Illusion Downunder ticks many boxes in this section of the houseboat market; she has the rear lounge, extremely well presented, very good technology and with the maintenance to a high standard you can walk on and start enjoying the magic of Lake Eildon.
