Illusion: when you walk onto Illusion you think, I was not expecting this; she is very nice and extremely well presented.

In this class of houseboat, Illusion is extremely well presented. Even though she may have been originally built in the 1980’s she was completely rebuilt in 2008. This rebuild provided her with the modern open layout with the side kitchen and the important rear lounge.

The Kitchen is well appointed with a large electric fridge/freezer, Westinghouse Oven, Grill & bench Cooktop; plus a dishwasher and microwave oven. What stands out is there is plenty of pantry/cupboard storage. A nice touch is the servery with 2 stools to enjoy a coffee and a chat.

The rear lounge embraces the external view with large windows. Imagine sitting back and dining with this view; very serene.

There is a quality couch which folds out to a double bed if you have guests. This with the two bedrooms enables you to sleep up to 6 people in beds.

The internal stairs with handrail take you to a great entertainment/relaxation space. The Targa, Hardtop and Decking appears to be in very good condition. Relax, take in the sunshine, or enjoy a BBQ as you take in the magic of Lake Eildon.

Illusion has good solar electrics with the large Inverter, Solar Charge Controller and the 3 x 260amphr house batteries fed by 3 x 300watt solar panels. The Mercury Outboard 50hp MPI 4 Stroke Motor was new in 2008 and has been well serviced since then.

The current owners have kept the maintenance to a very high standard (she was slipped in 2021 Oct with a new GMW CHIR completed). They have presented a houseboat in excellent condition; walk on and commence enjoying the magic of Lake Eildon.

Something to consider: Without a great deal of effort and expense this houseboat could be transported off Lake Eildon to another waterway. This would reduce the cost of the houseboat substantially as the Lake Eildon Houseboat License could be sold separately. There is a strong demand currently for Lake Eildon Houseboat Licenses.
