THE EDGE:

The Edge has only had the one owner since new and it was built to the owner’s high standards by renown professional houseboat builder Ian Kemp Marine. The Edge has been much loved by this family over this journey. Sadly, now is the time for them to move on in their journey.

The Edge has the modern open plan layout with a well-appointed side kitchen and a large rear lounge which opens onto a good sized rear deck with hydraulic duckboard.

Importantly for a family, The Edge has three good sized bedrooms which are serviced by a very well-appointed bathroom. If you have guests for the weekend, the Couch/Sofa Bed folds out to a large double bed.

The owners of The Edge have always enjoyed a quality sound system with the Surround Sound System; plus, a new TV has just been added.

Internal stairs take you to the first storey level. Last year the owner spent good money refurbishing and repainting this area. This included a new composite aluminium ceiling on the hardtop.

A great feature which this family has always loved is the Spa Bath. They have told me of the many great times sipping some bubbles under a brilliant chandelier of stairs.

The Edge with its modern layout and three good sized bedrooms will make a great holiday home for your family as she is presented; however, she has what we term “Good Bones” having been built by Ian Kemp Marine, with the new size regulations of houseboats, there is a great opportunity to lengthen the houseboat and convert the upstairs area into an all year round space. The owner informs me, there is considerable ballast in the pontoons and if this was removed the pontoons could take extra structural weight. Happy to share ideas on this.
