The freedom to just jump on the houseboat and head in whatever direction it takes you.
Head up the Big River Arm and find a peaceful quiet inlet away from everything and everyone.
Drop in a line and who cares if you catch anything. Then head home only when you feel like it.
The houseboat Freedom allows you and your family to do exactly this.
Freedom was built in the 1980’s and has had some great love and upgrades over this journey. This includes the external cladding and eaves being replaced with Composite Aluminium to give a fresh and inviting appearance. On the photo shoot she certainly sparkled in the sunshine. Recently after much hard work internally Freedom has been repainted which has really lifted the appearance.
Freedom has a spacious front lounge incorporating an extendable dining setting and two couches with great views of the Lake through the tall windows or you can just suit back and watch your favourite show on the TV.
This area blends into the well appointed kitchen. You can keep all the food and drinks cool with the twin Eva Kool Fridge/Freezers. There is ample room for preparation with the servery and plenty of storage space with the Pantry and cupboards. Importantly, there is a twin tub sink, newish oven and cooktop with rangehood and the Westinghouse dishwasher.
As a good family houseboat there are plenty of beds with three bedrooms. There is a triple bunk room for the kids. At the rear the bedroom doubles as a rear lounge with a double bed/couch and more bunk beds. The internal stairs take you to the first storey level where you will find the Master Bedroom with a double front view bed and full ensuite. This opens to a front sundeck or parents’ retreat.
Importantly there is a rear lounge providing a second entertainment space with the large windows, couches and TV for the other generation in the family. The rear deck provides another great spot to enjoy bubbles as you watch a brilliant sunset.
Freedom is powered by a Cris Craft V6 motor which has been serviced regularly. The Solar Electrics have been upgraded with an Outback Inverter/Charger System; 6 x Sun Power VRL2-1500 Gel Batteries; all fed by 8 Solar panels on the roof. Good power for a houseboat in this section of the market. Freedom has an ESV Gas Compliance Plate.
Freedom has a mono hull which has strong and thick 6mm steel plates. She was last slipped in 2019 and the owner is prepared to negotiate to have Freedom slipped.
Freedom is a very well presented houseboat in this section of the houseboat market. She would be ideal for a family commencing the journey on Lake Eildon. She ticks many boxes for a family with an entertainment space for each generation; three bedrooms including the master with ensuite and parents’ retreat; 2 bathrooms; a well appointed kitchen and good solar electrics.
Freedom provides the opportunity to escape to find your special place to enjoy the magic of Lake Eildon.
