Intrepid

The name Intrepid has been used on many famous vessels in history. Intrepid speaks to the journey of discovery, adventure, and good times.

This Intrepid has certainly had a journey on Lake Eildon which has led her to being completely rebuilt and refurbished. She is now like a new houseboat.

Intrepid has been lengthened and including the new hydraulic duckboard measures 60 feet in length. This has permitted a spacious modern layout with side kitchen, rear lounge and the now very popular extended rear deck with the new hydraulic duckboard and the electric sun awning. All the action happens on the rear deck.

Importantly Composite Aluminium has been used for the external cladding and eaves. New merbau timber has been used on all the decks. This gives Intrepid a modern fresh and inviting appearance whilst minimizing maintenance.

At water level there are two bedrooms each with double walkaround beds. These are serviced by a completely new bathroom. If you have extras for the weekend, you can fold out the sofa bed couch.

The first storey level is completely rebuilt. It is accessed by internal stairs.

To the front is the Parent’s Retreat Sun Deck. The Master Bedroom has beautiful views and importantly an ensuite of toilet and vanity.

Really good houseboat design is to have a space for each generation. There is a rear lounge with TV opening onto a rear sun deck.

The Electrics including the Solar Electrics have been completely redone. There is a new 5000watt Inverter, 30amp Battery Charger, a high quality Solar Charge Controller and 9 x 250watt new Solar Panels feeding into the new deep cycle house batteries. These are backed up by the Subaru RG3200is Generator.

Intrepid is bright, fresh, inviting and ready for your family to walk on board and enjoy as all the big ticket maintenance items have been taken care of. Plus, the new materials have been designed to minimize maintenance.
