La Casita, my house, my beautiful holiday home.

In many ways La Casita has been an ugly duckling and with the love, dedication and hard work of the current owners she has blossomed into a beautiful white swan; a beautiful holiday home.

La Casita dates back to the early days of houseboating on Lake Eildon. However, when you walk on board today, she is modern, fresh and in excellent condition.  The work undertaken has been of high quality.

Fresh external paintwork with new eaves. The decks repainted and in excellent condition. New storage boxes housing the gas bottles which includes the ESV Gas Compliance Plate and the Diesel Heater Unit. New treads on the stairs. Externally, she certainly looks fresh, bright and extremely well loved. The centre pontoon ensures she sits well in the water whilst providing more storage options.

Entering the front lounge with the new ceiling, the fresh painting and the quality new blinds she continues to impress. A new dining setting blending into the new cupboards plus the couch double sofa bed make this a very functional and relaxing space to take in the beauty of Lake Eildon.

The kitchen has been upgraded with new servery, benches and cupboards. Importantly there is a large electric fridge/freezer as well as an oven, grill and bench cooktop.

The master bedroom has a queen walkaround bed with a good sized wardrobe. The glass mirror doors of the wardrobe create the feeling of extra space. There is a bunk bedroom for the kids. The bathroom has been upgraded as well with new vanity and a good sized shower.

Importantly, there is a rear lounge with couches to relax on whilst watching the magnificent views of Lake Eildon or just watching the TV. This area could be used as a third bedroom. With the large glass windows this area blends very well onto the rear deck with the fixed duckboard providing a very spacious appearance.

The upstairs area has the guardrails but is a blank canvass. The deck is in excellent condition and there are anchor points fixed to the structure ready to take any canopy you may wish to instal.

The Solar Electrics for a houseboat in this section of the market are extremely good with a new MUST Inverter/Charger System, a new smart Solar Charge Controller and new House Batteries all fed by 6 Solar Panels on the top deck. This is all backed up by a CENTRAX 3kva portable Generator.

The motor has recently been serviced with a positive report on the condition of the motor.

It has been some time since I have listed a houseboat of this quality and excellent presentation in this section of the market. La Casita offers excellent value as an entry level holiday home on the water; she won’t last long on the market.
