Today the holiday home on the water “Mambo” provides the place for many fun times to happen on magical Lake Eildon.

Mambo was refurbished and modified around 2015 to make sure she met the expectations of today as well as ticking the boxes for good houseboat design for all the family to enjoy their time together.

The main upgrade was to rebuild the first storey level. This now provides, to the front, a Master Bedroom with queen walkaround bed and full ensuite. Plus, there is a Parent’s Retreat providing a quiet space to enjoy the sun and read a book.

Good family houseboat design provides a recreational space for each generation. The rear upstairs area provides this all year round with sliding glass windows and rear stacker doors plus sun block out blinds and sheer curtains. Sit back on the beautiful King furniture and take in the even more beautiful scenery of magical Lake Eildon.

At Water Level there is the modern open layout with a spacious kitchen with quality appliances; a good sized rear lounge with new carpet for the other generation opening onto the rear deck with hydraulic duckboard.

Mambo sits very well in the water as a centre pontoon was added to take the extra weight of the extension. Included in the refurbishment the external cladding and eaves were replaced with composite aluminium providing a fresh clean appearance with the bonus of minimizing maintenance.

Mambo has been extremely well maintained and has a GMW Compulsory Houseboat Inspection Report from April 2022. This implies 3 to 5years before she is due for slipping. Mambo has good Solar Electrics with a quality Outback Inverter, 6 Hoppecke Gel Batteries fed by 6 Solar Panels. These are backed up by the recently serviced quality Kohler Generator.
