Rippatoo is a ripper of a houseboat with many, many pluses. Let me explain.
Incredibly Rippatoo has only been in the one family since new in 1976. She has been well loved along this journey with renovations and upgrades in 1984, 2006, 2017 and now in 2024 to keep her relevant and meeting the needs of today’s houseboat market.
Today Rippatoo presents as a vibrant, fresh and inviting holiday home on the water that ticks so many boxes that your family will love.
Rippatoo ticks the boxes of good houseboat design and layout for a family to enjoy good times together. Fundamental to this is a space for each generation to relax and enjoy their own entertainment. Rippatoo provides this with front and rear lounges at water level. Then a parent’s retreat at the front of the first storey level and another rear lounge and rear sun deck overlooking the Lake.
Further there are four bedrooms. A bunk room at water level and first storey level for the kids. A double bed for guests and the master with a queen walkaround bed with front view. Plus, if you have extras then there is a couch/double sofa bed.
All the above is designed to allow Air Flow throughout the houseboat.
The pluses continue with the external cladding and eaves being composite aluminium. This not only gives a fresh inviting appearance but also minimizes maintenance.
Walk on board and the marine carpet is in excellent condition. Importantly, this is not glued down as underneath is a very sturdy steel checker plate deck. The carpet can always be rolled up to ensure the deck is maintained and guess what, it is.
Then we walk into the front lounge and the first thing that grabs you is the high ceiling with the floor to ceiling windows. This enables you to embrace the magnificent scenery of the hills, the forests and the water.
The first storey level continues to tick the boxes with the master bedroom enjoying a parent’s retreat; the second bunkroom and then another beautiful rear lounge opening onto a rear sun deck. The furniture, the new carpet, the windows and double width doors, the newly refurbished and repainted rear deck, it all comes together to provide another magnificent space to embrace the magic of Lake Eildon.
Rippatoo was slipped in June 2024 with the steel large W shaped monohull with compartments and the centre pontoon all serviced and a new GMW CHIR was issued. There are twin Holden straight 6-cylinder engines with Volvo V8 Stern Drives to power the houseboat. The twin engines will assist manoeuverability.
With Solar Electrics there is a new Victron Energy Multi-Plus 3000watt Inverter/Charger System; a new Victron Energy Smart Solar Charge Controller and 2 new Lithium 300AH House Batteries. These are fed by 8 Solar Panels. This is all backed up by a Generator which is rarely used. There is a Starlink Dish.
Rippatoo sparkles both externally and internally. The décor, the layout, the painting, the furniture, the appliances, they all tick so many boxes for a family holiday home on the water. Rippatoo has only been in the one family and when you walk on board you can feel she has been loved. The maintenance is all up to date, you can walk on board unpack the bags and your family can start making those special memories together.
