Originally built in the early 1960’s as an extra length houseboat embodying the distinctive nautical shape of a ship.

In 2010 the then owners effectively rebuilt Sorrento to embrace a modern layout, contemporary décor and appliances and the latest technology whilst still retaining the distinctiveness of the ship-like appearance. One important alteration was raising the height of the ceiling to allow the large windows so you can embrace the magic of Lake Eildon inside the houseboat.

Today, Sorrento is a quality houseboat holiday home with modern open layout, with quality kitchen and rear lounge opening onto a spacious rear deck setup for entertaining in comfort plus the hydraulic duckboard.

The Kitchen has distinctive features with the central location; stone benchtops; walk in Pantry; rear deck servery window, quality appliances and of course the magnificent view.

This blends into the spacious Lounge, sit back in front of the gas log fire and take in the magnificent views or watch your favourite show on the large screen TV. Importantly, the rear stacker doors open up this area to embrace the rear deck with the full set of clear screens ensuring you can use this area all year round. On the warmer sunny days extend the electric sun awning.

Importantly, Sorrento has three bedrooms and two bathrooms including the Master with King size walkaround Bed, full Ensuite, a feature Bath and Parent’s Retreat rear deck.

Sorrento has the latest in Solar Electric Technology with twin Outback Inverters, new Gel Batteries x 12 (2022), 20 Solar Panels and backed up with a Kohler Generator.

Sorrento will be easy to manoeuvre with a powerful V8 Mercruiser plus front and rear Thrusters. Houseboat Assist had no problems bringing her back into the marina pen after the recent photo shoot with the front and rear Thrusters. Sorrento was last slipped in 2019, so a photo of the pontoons has been included in the presentation photos; there are more photos from underneath the houseboat from 2019 on file in the HCHS files. The owner is prepared to consider adjusting the price to cover the slipping of Sorrento.

Sorrento has a great entertainment sound system with quality amplifier, speaker system and auto-satellite tracker.
