I am rapt to present this houseboat; walking onboard for the first time, everything said to me, this is an exceptional houseboat. The layout, the décor, the furnishings, the tall floor to ceiling windows; everything just said wow this is fantastic.

The owners have had a number of houseboats, over their journey, on Lake Eildon, and you can experience this as you walk through the houseboat. With my long experience with houseboats, I could not suggest any improvements as the owners have certainly ticked so many boxes as a quality family holiday home.

The beautiful outwards appearance is stunning with the floor to ceiling tinted windows including the rounded windows at the front blending beautifully with the white fibreglass walls which provide the sleek lines and character of Sunlure.

Walk onboard and immediately the spaciousness and the embrace of the magical scenery of Lake Eildon just captures you; the photos don’t lie. Beautiful lounge and dining to the front with the feature gas log fire with the retractable TV. Just imagine the atmosphere provided by the gas log fire as you relax on the couch in the cooler months and be captivated by the mist on the water, yes in another world.

One design feature which I liked is the Bathroom/Powder Room at this level which includes the Laundry and plenty of storage. It makes sense and will work well.

Next is the central kitchen; the Stone Benchtops are a feature plus there are so many cupboards, storage is not a problem. This includes the centre pontoon storage for bulky items. I love how the windows slide open and the kitchen services the Al Fresco area so well. Without being politically incorrect, whoever is on duty in the kitchen, could you imagine a better view.

The rear Al Fresco area is something special. Spacious and with the Infinity Decking looks fabulous; but there is more as they say, the rear full width all weather electric blind and then the side walls open with sliding tinted glass doors. Taking the photos in this space was trying to capture picture postcard shots – just magnificent, a very special place is Lake Eildon. Beautiful relaxing furniture, a drop-down TV and more fridges and even a beer kegerator and ice maker. Then the large hydraulic duckboard with the Infinity Decking and the side boat boards for the toys (2 hydraulic & 2 fixed). Just a fantastic space.

When it is time for bed, head upstairs and the quality experience continues.

The Master Bedroom is equal to any 5-star hotel with King sized Bed, walk in robe, and a full ensuite with twin vanity and a large shower incorporating twin shower heads. The double width rear stacker doors allow you to wake up to amazing scenic views or to watch a chandelier of stars in the crisp clear night sky.

The other 4 Bedrooms are not bad either, each with Queen walkaround Beds, large, tinted windows and direct access to the two beautiful bathrooms. The views from the two front bedrooms again provide picture postcard scenic views.

The central lounge as a quiet space is another very thoughtful feature. All bedrooms have ducted R/C Air-Conditioning and ducted Heating.

Then if you want to be on top of the world and take in even more magical views the Top Deck does not disappoint. It also provides a great space to relax and take in the sun.

The other important factor for a holiday home of this quality is the Technology to seamlessly make it all happen. Sunlure does not disappoint. There are 15 x 500watt Solar Panels on the roof that feed the 12 Power Plus Energy ECO 484OP Lithium Batteries which has a state of the art Selectronic SP PRO Series Inverter/Charger System and a Fronius Primo Solar Charge Controller. This is all backed up by a very large Cummins Onan Marine 17.5kva Generator. With all the solar, the owner informs me the generator is rarely used, this says something about the capacity and quality of the Solar System. The other important part of the Technology is Sunlure has twin Mercruiser 250 4.5l V6 Motors plus a Lemar Bow Thruster. Two quality motors to take you to your favourite inlet on the Lake and the Bow Thruster to aide manoeuvrability.

A nice innovation with all the windows is the external zoned window water misters to keep houseboat cool on those hot days. While talking about water, Sunlure has an FSA Total Water Filter System to ensure all water on the houseboat is safe to drink, cook with and for the shower.
